Diagnostic Evaluations

  • What is it and who can benefit?

This evaluation aids in identifying emotional and behavioral concerns and providing recommendations for addressing these concerns.

Conditions that may be assessed with a diagnostic evaluation include:

    ADHD

    Anxiety

    Oppositional Defiant Disorder

    Depression

  • What is the process?

Evaluations begin with an in-depth intake interview to discuss concerns along with background and developmental history. This is a 60 minute session, typically held virtually with only the parent(s).

Additionally, standardized rating scales are provided to measure the degree of behaviors in various settings. Raters may include the parent/caregiver, teacher, and a self-rating by the child. If warranted, a diagnosis will be provided.

A brief summary of scores and recommendations is provided along with a 45 minute feedback session to discuss results. These results can often be used to help guide 504 plans and IEPs in the schools.

  • What is the cost?

Diagnostic evaluations do not include individual testing. They include the intake interview and rating scales provided to relevant parties. Feedback session and written report are also included with the diagnostic evaluation.

    Cost: $800

If a full psychoeducational evaluation is desired, the cost paid for the completed diagnostic evaluation will be applied (within 60 days) to the psychoeducational evaluation.
